So I went in to make a second dress and had a completely different experience from the first dress. I was going for the look I saw in the first picture on the left. It's cute and simple with a little flair. I had some fabric that looked like it would work perfectly.
The tailor totally messed up. First of all to top was totally messed up in the back. See how it's all bunched up? Then there was no lining in the bottom at all so the pleats wouldn't stay. I haven't worn it outside of the house yet. I seriously doubt I will.
Normally I would tell the tailor to redo the dress, but it took three months and me borderline stalking her to get this done. My time is worth more to me so I'm cutting my losses on this one.
I will probably take the dress apart and repurpose it. I also now need to find a good and reliable tailor in New York. Any idess?
